Heavy Gear South GP Cadre for 15mm Sci Fi

Here are 2 pictures of my painted Dream Pod 9 Heavy Gear South 'General Purpose Cadre' for use as "Powered Battle Armour" or "Battle Robots" to support my 15mm NAC infantry. I tried to pick a simple camouflage scheme that complemented the basing of the miniatures and complemented my existing NAC infantry.

The armour is Adeptus Battlegrey, washed with Badab Black and highlighted with Codex Grey slightly darkened with black. The camouflage is patches of Tausept Ochre washed with Badab Black and highlighted with thinned Tausept Ochre. I think I'll paint all the vehicles in the army this way to maintain consistancy. I have 3 more "gears" to paint and then I'll start on few GZG  gravsleds and some light grav tanks to finish things off...

Those gears fit nicely with your NAC troopers.

  3. Those look great! I think they work better as robots at that scale, a bit too small for a walker, and bit for heavy power armor.

  7. I was really impressed by that set, so I ordered it myself. Just to find out that the nice round pod were replaced with rather static and chunky square ones. May I ask where you got yours from?

    Thanks.
