Xeloxians!

Having complained about the lack of non-huminoid extraterrestrial life in one of my posts on Dropship Horizon, I decided to "put my money where my mouth was" and purchased some 15mm Xeloxians from the board game Battlestations. These arrived in super quick time in the post from the States. They are lovely little figures and only required a little bit of flash to be removed and their bases cut to size to match my other 15mm sci fi figures. My only regret is I ordered just one pack! I've included a GZG civilian colonist in the picture above for scale. I'm going to concentrate on painting my Xeloxians and civilian colonists over the next few weeks...

  1. Super idea. As an added bonus you can have more fun playing Battlestations!

  2. Have you played Battlestations? I'm thinking about buying it but want to read a few reviews first.

  3. I mentioned this before, but I think the Xeloxians would look better if you reposed them into a multiped pose rather than the alien pinwheel they start as.

The stock poses work for space station denizens, but not so well for being in Mud Eisley or on the battlefield.

  4. Love 'em. Makes me think of the Helping Hands from the movie Labyrinth.
